Spendor Classic 4/5 loudspeaker is the most charming and beautifully balanced sounding small Spendor Classic ever. A very compact shelf or stand mount, the Classic 4/5 is a multi-talented loudspeaker, it delivers low frequencies with a remarkable sense of depth and extension and is notably free from the artificial brightness and over-blown bass which characterises the sound of most modern speakers.

Over 5 decades Spendor Classic loudspeakers have earned iconic status as the reference standard for many audiophiles, musicians and professional sound engineers. Inspired by the enthusiastic world-wide response following the introduction of their flagship Spendor SP200, for 2017 we are introducing the most significant performance improvements ever across all models.

New models are built around the new generation of Spendor drive units and feature advanced polymer and Kevlar cones, cast magnesium alloy chassis, highly efficient motor systems, optimised electro-dynamic damping and excellent thermal dissipation.  Together, they deliver a truly captivating sound with unprecedented transparency and dynamic contrast.

Meticulously refined crossover networks, enhanced cabinet structures, new elastomer panel damping and new style magnetic grilles, deliver music with the captivating warmth and charm of the 70s originals.

• Spendor’s proprietary 15cm EP77 polymer bass/mid cone produces a natural sound that is free from colouration whilst delivering room friendly bass that is taut and controlled.
• 310mm tall and with a depth of only 170mm the Classic 4/5 closed box design can be positioned in any small space or on the dedicated Spendor Classic Stand, which offers the best results. 
• Available in two luxurious real wood veneer finishes, walnut and cherry.
