Today, many amplifiers do not have a specific phono cartridge input. Phono Box is an ideal phono preamplifier for these hifi system and accepts both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges. 

There's good reason for the success of this phono preamplifier due to its quality design and componentry as it does a good job in a critical stage of the vinyl playing process. Amplifying such a low level signal, if not done well, will introduce distortion and noise into the signal and significantly deteriorate the atmospheric sound of playing vinyl.
