The top of the Focal Sopra line the Sopra No.3,are now on display in our listening rooms.Focal has used some pretty special technologies in these truly magnificent speakers.They are proudly handmade in France.Focal speak of their obsession with the midrange register as they believe it is the most complicated to control in a sound system.Having identified resonances which alter definition in the suspension which connects the cone to the basket.Focal have designed a technology called "Tuned Mass Damper" where an additional mass oscillates in opposition to the resonance frequency to control it.It reduces drastically the distortion and increases the definition.

The Sopra line features an extremely light and rigid beryllium tweeter.focal has developed a system called infinite Horn Loading which reduces distortion by 30% and pushes definition to the maximum.the Sopras also feature Neutral Inductance Circuit technology where the magnetic field is no longer affected by the position of the voice coil.This solution permits to control the magnetic field to decrease the effects of distortion a give the sound a very highn definition and an unprecedented dynamic.
