The Importance Of Music In Our Lives

It is hard to imagine your world without music.It plays such a vital place in entertaining and affecting our mood and it can provide an emotional attachment to special moments in our lives and hearing a particular song will bring back great memories.

For pop music lovers,the early months of 2016 have not been good ones.It seemed we were still absorbing the news of David Bowie's death in January,when on April 21,we learned that Prince had passed away in his home.This remarkably talented and versatile songwriter,multi-instrumentalist,vocalist,and frontman who had remained active since his 1978 debut album was shortly before his death still playing concerts.

The musician who gave us hits like "Little Red Corvette","When Doves Cry" and "Kiss" who made the types of albums ("1999","Purple Rain" and "Sign Of The Times" among them) where you savoured every cut.All that's left is the music,and there's lots of it.

Over the last few months many Prince fans have returned to the songs that were huge in the 1980's and the memories of where they were and what they were doing will come flooding back.It is without exception that album sales go through the roof with a great artist's passing.I guess that ratifies how important music is and that it is an integral part of our lives.It doesn't matter what genre of music,it's about the emotional experience.
