JBL 4367 OMG!
JBL 4367 OMG!
In early July Stereophonic had the wonderful experience of being involved in the Melbourne International HiFi Show with JBL speakers.JBL is an iconic brand in the music industry with their history spanning over 70 years. It was a special occasion to celebrate the arrival of a new icon in the world of loudspeakers that will surely make it's mark in the history of listening to music. The Melbourne show witnessed the unveiling of the JBL 4367.To understand the history of JBL loudspeakers is to understand the history of recording and studio monitors that have helped in mastering so many great albums over the last 50 years. They are truly the iconic speaker brand that has brought music to the masses via studio monitor and PA speaker design and delivery at a level that no other brand of loudspeakers can even come close to.If you've been to live concerts in the last 30 years....you have heard JBL!
Now,back to the 4367......so many people at the Melbourne HiFi show commented that the JBL room was the best sounding room at the show. There is a reason for that....the JBL 4367 are simply the best sounding live performance loudspeaker. They involve you in the music at a level rarely experienced. They need to be heard to understand what they are about. It's not about technical prowess even though they have 4 patents of their design......it's about the experience of listening to them......
The 4367's were designed using solutions developed for the K2 Master Reference Monitor which is JBL's reference model of studio monitors, delivering sound of similar quality, but at a more affordable price.Model 4367 is a two way design, with the crossover point at 700Hz and the tweeter has a dual voice coil and a flat response to 40Khz.The 15" bass driver has dual 3"voice coils and has authoritive low frequency performance down to 30Hz.The newly designed 180 degree dispersion horn means that even if you are sitting off axis you still hear stereo image detail from both speakers. The 4367's are rated at 94dB sensitivity and 300 watts per channel.
Oh,and by the way, they have a baby brother......not so baby.......the JBL 4429....that we constantly set up for a listen at Stereophonic after hours that also gives you the live performance. And now,the JBL 4367's have found a home at Stereophonic. They are set up in one of our listening rooms ......they truly have to be heard to be believed
JBL ......Listen to the Live Performance!
