ELAC BS 312 produces window-shaking sound from a discrete package
ELAC have a rich history in the field of commercial audio research and consumer audio products. Founded over 90 years ago in 1926, ELAC began as researchers of SONAR equipment and how audio waves transfers underwater. 1948 saw ELAC move beyond the commercial to produce their first consumer audio product – and they’ve never looked back.
Jumping forward 45 years, ELAC’s innovation of speaker design hit a peak with two huge advancements. First, the use of aluminium to craft a lightweight, rigid speaker cabinet exactly proportional to the needs of the drivers. Second, the development of the JET tweeter – a folded-ribbon tweeter capable of producing frequencies up to 35kH, leading to exceptional openness of sound across the whole frequency spectrum.
No speaker from ELAC combines these two advancements quite like the ELAC BS 312. The BS 312 is compact as all hell, capable of producing frequencies between 42Hz and 50kHz thanks to the fifth generation of the JET tweeter and exquisite cabinet design. The result is incredible – punchy, prominent bass and crisp, clear highs from a discrete package.
Trite as this statement may sound, the ELAC BS 312 really has to be heard to be believed. Contact Stereophonic today to arrange a listening session. We promise you that you won’t walk away unimpressed.
